As per worldwide tradition, participants in Model United Nations (MUN) conferences are expected to wear formal business attire suitable for diplomatic relations. Please note that national dress (cosplay, essentially) is prohibited according to the CMMUN Constitution. School uniform items with emblems/logos/words identifying delegates’ schools should not be worn.
Day 1: Every delegate should wear formal attire as described below, including appropriate shoes.
Day 2: Delegates have the option of wearing formal attire as described below OR substituting the conference t-shirt (to be received on Friday, 21 Nov.) for their top. See the last page of this memo for the t-shirt design.
Please DO NOT feel the need to purchase new clothing for this event. If you have trouble finding clothing items to wear, it is suggested that you may:
Ask a family member to borrow the item(s) you need;
Ask a classmate or friend;
Try purchasing what you need from a discount or second hand store;
If all else fails, contact your Adviser and they will help you find a solution
